Behind evads
Stijn Oorthuijsen on how evads began

Stijn Oorthuijsen co-founded evads with Len de Koning: a platform that helps event organisers guide their promoters, track their contributions and award rewards. The idea came from their own events. They wanted a clearer overview of their work with promoters and to spend less time on the administration around it.
It started with their own events
Through STYASS, Stijn knew how much work goes into an event. Alongside the venue, artists and production, promotion needs constant attention too. A promoter team can help, but that team needs to know what is expected of them.
Communication took place on WhatsApp. A new post was shared in the group with a request to share it. Reminders, individual questions and messages about personal ticket links or guest list spots followed.
Some promoters contributed a lot. But keeping track of their efforts was difficult. Who had completed a task? Who sold tickets? And who had earned a reward?
From scattered arrangements to a clear overview
Stijn and Len both recognised this. Len encountered similar situations through BPM Europe. So they began building a system for their own events.
That became evads. Organisers can create tasks, set deadlines and decide which rewards promoters can earn. Promoters get their own account with their tasks, personal ticket link and progress.
A task could be sharing a new post, for example. After completing it, the promoter uploads a screenshot. The organiser can review it and track progress towards a reward. Ticket sales can also be tracked in the platform.
Why evads is also becoming available to other organisers
What began as a solution for their own way of working resonated with other organisers Stijn and Len spoke to. They too managed promoters through group chats and separate lists.
The founders therefore decided to make evads available to other events as well. The aim is to help organisers guide and reward their promoter teams more clearly. Promoters see what they can do and what they are working towards.
Selling more tickets is one of the goals. The platform gives organisers the structure and insight to guide their promoter teams towards it.
